HCC Symposium

The HCC Symposium aimed to provide students with the opportunity to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of a post-MBA graduate working in the health care industry. There are a variety of positions in healthcare, including marketing, strategy, business development, consulting, and finance all within different sectors of the industry. Corporate representatives are featured on panels to inform students about their current roles and to help students understand potential career trajectories within the health care sector.

Additionally, attendees are invited to a post-symposium networking event.

Lifeline Sessions

Lifeline sessions are designed specifically for FY students to learn about, prepare for, and obtain internships within the health care industry. Lifeline brings together sector and function overviews, SY experiences, and interview preparation into an ongoing series. This program ensures that FY students remain prepared and on track during the exploration and recruiting process and in the leadup to on-campus interviews in January.

Week-in-Cities

In cooperation with the MBA Association (MBAA) and CMC, the HCC coordinates trips to areas with high concentrations of health care firms during fall break. These “week-in-cities” trips provide opportunities for HCC members to meet with representatives from health care companies in certain geographies and to learn about their businesses.

These trips are entirely optional and participating students are responsible for all expenses (travel, lodging, food).

Mock Interviews

Held from October to January, mock interviews are a key initiative for the club's professional preparation programming, offering students the opportunity to practice and refine their interview skills in a supportive, feedback-driven environment.

Designed to simulate real healthcare industry interviews, the sessions are led by second-year students and alumni with deep sector experience, helping participants build confidence and sharpen their communication for internship and full-time recruitment success.
